Trigonella foenum-graecum

Trigonella foenum-graecum, commonly known as fenugreek, is a popular herb in Arabic regions and India.Fenugreek’s most well-known compound is 4-hydroxyisoleucine, which works to normalize glucose metabolism. 4-hydroxyisoleucine may help to stimulate the secretion of insulin, reduce insulin resistance, and decrease blood sugar levels. The other compounds, called trigonelline, galactomannan, and trigoneosides, also work together to provide benefits for blood sugar.

Resveratrol

There are over 500 published studies, including multiple clinical trials, Resveratrol has been shown in a number of studies to activate SIRT1, which is believed to affect insulin sensitivity and blood glucose maintenance. Resveratrol has also been shown to increase expression of GLUT4, an insulin-dependent glucose transporter, and to increase the uptake of glucose in the absence of insulin. Clinical evidence suggests that resveratrol influences multiple pathways involved in energy metabolism and may particularly mimic the effect of a calorie-restricted diet. Momordica charantia (bitter melon or bitter gourd) is a flowering vine in the family Cucurbitaceae. It is a tropical plant that is widely cultivated in Asia, India, East Africa, and South America for its intensely bitter fruits that are commonly used in cooking and as a natural remedy for treating. Momordica charantia repairs damaged β-cells, increases insulin levels, enhance the sensitivity of insulin, inhibits the absorption of glucose by inhibiting glucosidase and suppresses the activity of disacharidases in the intestine.

Cinnamomum zeylanicum

Cinnamon is popular spice worldwide. It exerts numerous biological effects on the body. Cinnamon is frequently treated as an anti-diabetic compound, since it reduces the rate at which glucose enters the body. Not only does it help diabetics Cinnamon can inhibit numerous digestive enzymes, such as alpha-glucosidase, sucrose and potentially pancreatic amylase (although the only results were confounded with acarbose). Via inhibition of these enzymes, cinnamon can decrease the influx of glucose into systemic circulation and avoid overly significant insulin spikes avoid blood sugar spikes, but it also improves glucose use in the cell itself. Chromium (Cr) in the body is generally in its trivalent form, or Cr3+.  Cr3+ is thought to act as a cofactor for a protein known as chromodulin. Chromodulin is believed to enhance the signaling activity of insulin after insulin binds to the cells of the body. The enhanced signaling activity of insulin would result in increased uptake of blood sugar by cells, thus decreasing the level of sugar in the blood.
